Jordan Lemmon

Since 2009, Jordan has been helping others learn the Hebrew language in unique and engaging ways that transcend traditional, black-and-white textbook methods.

From assisting as a peer tutor in Israeli Hebrew classes in college, to teaching families of children as a private Modern Hebrew teacher, to being a toddler's "Hebrew nanny" (speaking/teaching almost exclusively in Hebrew) - Jordan has had many experiences in testing and observing the language acquisition process.

It was these experiences, combined with her own language acquisition journey, that served as the framework for teaching Biblical Hebrew -the ancient language from which Israeli Hebrew has evolved.

In 2015 Jordan began teaching private lessons in Biblical Hebrew.

In 2016, she launched the Biblical Hebrew Program at The Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City, and started the first Beginning Biblical Hebrew continuing education class at Johnson County Community College.

She received her M.A. in  The Archaeology of Ancient Near Eastern Cultures in 2014, magna cum laude from Tel Aviv University in Israel, with a special focus on Biblical Texts.
